HISTORY

GHS was founded in 2009 during the financial crisis, initially operating as a chair cover hire business serving the wedding industry. In its early years, the business focused on event-led demand, building on our founders practical experience in textiles, logistics, and rapid turnaround under operational pressure.

In 2010, the company trialled a novel range of soft furnishings, moving beyond hire into the design and production of physical products. What began as a small, focused range of furniture quickly gained traction, driven by an emphasis on quality, functionality, and reliable delivery.

Within a few years, the business was selected by several major retailers, accelerating growth and prompting rapid expansion of both our product range and operational capability. This period marked a shift from a niche hire operation into a scalable, global manufacturing and distribution business.

Since then, GHS Studio has continued to grow, becoming one of Europe’s leading designers, manufacturers, and distributors of furniture and pet beds.

GHS Studio specialise in supplying to event companies, offices & independent retailers and are highly experienced in developing bespoke ranges for national retail clients. The GHS textile products design studio leads the creative process and an in-house bespoke manufacturing facility ensures short lead times, continuous refinements and high quality levels. GHS are at the leading edge of their market producing superior products with tightly controlled costs for many leading brands. GHS Studio are based in the historical home of the cotton industry, Lancashire, England.

As one of Europe’s leading upholstery & pet bed suppliers, GHS Studio have been entrusted with the task of developing bespoke licenced ranging for a number of key brands, these include Silentnight’s new pet collections & LIFE’s home & pet collection. GHS Studio also work with national retail clients on bespoke ranges utilizing GHS managed brands and retailer own label. GHS Studio Design, Manufacture & Distribute the highest quality textile products for the Home, Outdoor & Pet markets.
